Dreaming & Creating Progressive Futures for Black Artists

Calling arts leaders, managers, arts workers and artists!

Now more than ever, we need to lean into community and care. In collaboration with the Black Pledge Collective, Buddies In Bad Times Theatre is exploring how we can deepen our care practices to centre equity and social justice in the workplace. What supports and tools do we need to be more care-full?

We have also prepared this survey on care in the work space. Feel free to share your thoughts with us.- https://forms.gle/3q5im4Z4Xmoagtnc6

See you on June 3 & 4.

The Black Pledge Collective started in 2020, in an effort to hold live performance organizations accountable to their promises to address anti-Black racism. See ourAbout Us‍ ‍page to read about the current collective.

The Black Pledge is an open call for positive, lasting change in live arts spaces across Canada so that they truly reflect the beautiful mosaic tapestry of this land. Our mission is to foster greater inclusion and awareness surrounding the needs of Black artists and arts workers. We stand in solidarity with Indigenous peoples and other racialized communities seeking equity while retaining our Black-centric advocacy.
